Athletic director Albury noted, “Tyler and Adam both had key roles in the success of their respective teams for the entire season.” Concluding, he added, “They are top choices for May’s Bobcat Athletes of the Month.”
Also a junior first baseman, Cendejas was the lone Bobcat baseball player to garner Heart first team honors. Cendejas led the Heart with a .438 batting average. In addition, he finished with a team-high 41 RBI on the year.
At the end of the entire baseball season, Cendejas was ranked nationally in two Top 50 categories. He was seventh in batting average and was 39th in hits per game (1.429).
