(Peru, Neb.) – Bobcat women’s golfer Hannah Baldacci (Norfolk) and baseball player Alberto Rosario (Carolina, Puerto Rico) were recently named by Peru State interim athletic director Steve Schneider as the April Bobcat Athletes of the Month. They were identified by Schneider for the honor based on their recent athletic accomplishments for their respective teams.
A senior, Baldacci, has been among the team leaders this entire year and had her best performance in Peru State’s last regular-season tournament which was hosted by Concordia in Lincoln.
Baldacci led the Bobcats with rounds of 84 and 86 for a two-day total of 170. She finished 26th in this tournament which featured eleven full teams. Two weeks earlier, Baldacci finished in a tie for tenth when she shot an 85 in the Doane Invitational. She finished 14th in the Peru State Invite and was tied for 25th in College of St. Mary/Midland Invitational early in April.
Baldacci and her teammates will be playing in the Heart of America Athletic Conference Championship hosted by Baker University in Lawrence, Kansas, on May 7 and 8. Later this month, Baldacci will be named as a Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete for the second straight year.
In announcing his April selections, Schneider noted “With their efforts on the golf course and on the baseball diamond, Hannah and Alberto are good choices for the April Peru State Athletes of the Month.”
