Peru State College Athletics

One of Peru State's all-time athletic greats; Omer Meeker is a member of the NAIA basketball players’ Hall of Fame, inducted in 1960. He played on some of PSC’s best squads before graduating in 1951 and playing one year of pro ball.

Meeker, who held the school scoring record until the late 1970’s, was a three-time all-state player and led PSC to three appearances in the NAIA national tourney. He coached and taught at high schools and junior colleges in Santa Maria, California before retiring in 1983.
