Peru State College Athletics

Peru State College’s greatest Cross Country teams were led by their coach, Dr. James Pilkington, who served PSC throughout most of the 1960s. Six times his Cross Country teams placed in the Top 10 in the NAIA Nationals including a third place finish in 1965. On the home course his runners were 144-6, and Pilkington- coached Bobcats earned 10 All American citations. He was an Assistant Coach in both football and track and a respected faculty member at PSC as well.
