Peru State athletic director Steve Schneider announced on Thursday that junior women’s golfer Marisa Pribnow (Lincoln) and senior baseball player Jordan Silva (Lynnwood, Wash.) were selected as the May Bobcat Student-Athletes of the Month.
Named as a 2016 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete, Silva was named to the Heart’s baseball all-tournament team as a designated hitter. This past week, Silva became just one of five Peru State baseball players to be named CoSIDA Academic All-America® College Division Baseball Second Team.
Schneider commented, “Marisa and Jordan are representative of what true student-athletes should be about. Both have had success in the classroom, as well as, in athletics.”
