Peru State athletic director Steve Schneider announced on Thursday that junior women’s golfer Marisa Pribnow (Lincoln) and senior baseball player Jordan Silva (Lynnwood, Wash.) were selected as the May Bobcat Student-Athletes of the Month.
Pribnow was named to the Heart of America Athletic Conference All-Conference First Team earlier in May. For Pribnow, it was her third year in a row to receive the honor. More recently, Pribnow was named as a 2016 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete. In addition, Pribnow was recently re-elected as the communications director for the Student Athlete Advisory Council.
Schneider commented, “Marisa and Jordan are representative of what true student-athletes should be about. Both have had success in the classroom, as well as, in athletics.”
